Riverdale Flowers Limited, a grower and exporter of cut flowers in the Nyandarua Highlands, Kenya. We decide what information this website collects and what it is used for. If you have any question about your information, email sales@riverdaleflowers.com.

We do not use analytics, advertising pixels or tracking cookies, and this website sets no cookies of its own.

When you send the enquiry form, we receive what you type in it — your name, your email address, your company and phone number if you give them, the kind of enquiry and your message — together with the page you sent it from and the time it arrived. We use it to answer you and, if you order, to handle that order.

The map on our contact page is provided by Google Maps. It loads when you open that page, and Google then receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, under Google’s privacy policy. The rest of this website does not load anything from Google.

Our website host keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and to diagnose faults.

Your enquiry is kept as a record in Riverdale Flowers’ business system, so the right person in our team can pick it up, follow it through and see what was said before. A copy is emailed to our sales team. If the business system cannot be reached at that moment, the enquiry is emailed to the sales team directly instead, so it is never lost.

The business system is operated for us by Boocom Africa Technologies Limited, which processes your information only on our instructions and for no purpose of its own. It is stored on Amazon Web Services servers in Cape Town, South Africa, encrypted and sent only over encrypted connections. Enquiry emails are sent through Amazon’s email service. This website itself is hosted by Vercel, whose servers may be outside Kenya.

This means your information is held outside Kenya. We chose these providers for the security they apply, and our agreement with Boocom Africa Technologies requires it to keep your information secure and confidential.

Only the people at Riverdale Flowers whose work is answering enquiries, and those who manage them. Access is set by role inside the business system, and every change to an enquiry is recorded.

We do not sell, rent or share your information for anyone else’s marketing.

For as long as we need it to answer you and to keep a record of our dealings with you — for a buyer, that is usually the life of the trading relationship. We review enquiries we no longer need and delete them, and we delete yours whenever you ask us to.

Under Kenya’s Data Protection Act, 2019, you can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Email sales@riverdaleflowers.com and we will respond.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.

If the website starts collecting anything new, this page will say so first. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
